A Columbia, South Carolina native, he leverages his deep local market knowledge and passion for community to deliver exceptional service. Marcus’ love for sales stems from building lasting partnerships and solving client challenges, which he combines with a commitment to giving back through local initiatives and community engagement.
With over 20 years of experience, Marcus has held pivotal roles in account management, regional sales, national account sales, and sales representation within the packaging and distribution industry. His expertise has been key to establishing Redbird’s reputation for excellence.
A graduate of North Greenville University with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management, Marcus lives in Columbia with his wife, PJ, and their daughter Mary Helen
Bill Washington
Co-Founder and Director of Operations
A seasoned project management professional with over 20 years of experience in operations, account services, and project execution. As the co-founder of Redbird Paper and Chemical, a leading paper and chemical distribution company based in Columbia, South Carolina, Bill oversees all operational aspects, ensuring efficiency and excellence in service delivery. A graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, he holds PMP certification and advanced credentials from the University of South Carolina and Harvard Business School.
Bill’s career began in the United States Marine Corps, where he served eight years, including multiple deployments and two combat tours, sharpening his leadership and problem-solving abilities. Transitioning to the civilian sector, he excelled in the aviation industry before entering the signage sector, where he contributed to branding initiatives for global leaders.
Bringing his expertise to Redbird Paper and Chemical, Bill combines an outstanding work ethic with a commitment to client satisfaction, driving the seamless execution of on time deliveries.
He resides in Columbia, South Carolina, with his wife, Katie, and their three sons, John, Conor, and Matthew.
